Vetiver is a root-derived perfumery material valued for its dry, woody character and earthy depth. It often carries green, smoky or slightly mineral facets, giving a fragrance structure without making it dense or sweet. In a fragrance pyramid, vetiver usually appears in the base, where it supports the dry-down and gives other notes a more defined finish.

In women's fragrances, vetiver is often paired with citrus, rose, jasmine, soft musk, amber or other woods. With citrus, it reads crisp and polished; alongside florals, it adds contrast and a grounded edge; with musk or amber, it becomes smoother and warmer. Choose this style if you enjoy composed, woody scents with freshness, texture and a distinctly dry finish.
