Benzoin is a warm balsamic resin with a naturally sweet, vanilla-like scent and a smooth, slightly powdery texture. In women’s fragrances, it often gives the base a rounded, comforting finish rather than sharp sweetness, making the composition feel richer and more blended.

Usually used in the base, benzoin pairs readily with vanilla, amber, sandalwood, musk, spice and soft florals.
